“Kazakhstan has improved its position in the UN e-Government Survey,” he tweeted. According to the PM’s official website, Kazakhstan moved from 46th to 38th place in the rating (compared to its 2010 standing). The index of online services went 10 lines up and index of telecommunications infrastructure gained 14 lines.

Out of 25 countries where e-government appeared not so long ago, Kazakhstan is ranked 18th, ahead of Chile, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Latvia, Columbia, Barbados and Cyprus. Kazakhstan shared the 2nd line with Singapore in 2-participation index. This index reflects the online communications between the government and the citizens (blogs, Twitter, social networks, Internet-conferences).
