South Korea will push to help its companies advance into emerging markets by tackling any disadvantageous trading conditions through free trade deals, the finance minister said Friday.

"Some emerging markets maintain disadvantageous trading conditions for us compared with our competitor countries, and remain reserved about opening their markets due to a lack of negotiation and enforcement capacity," Finance Minister Hyun Oh-seok told a meeting with other policymakers here.
