BANGALORE: Gone are the days when family business was supposedly meant for the sons. Daughters are dominant now with their well-crafted skill and well deserved positions.  Let us look at some of the daughters who are the important pilot of their family businesses. Compilation based on a report by Economic Times.

Lakshmi Venu, 31, Director, Sundaram-Clayton: Daughter of TVS Motor Company chairman and TAFE chairperson, Venu Srinivasan and Mallika Srinivasan,

Lakshmi is the daughter-in-law of Infosys Chairman N.R. Narayanmurthy who holds a degree from Yale University and a Doctorate in engineering management from University of Warwick, UK. She joined as a trainee at Sundaram Auto Components, a TVS unit and later rising in her ranks in the business arena is thoroughly due to her hard work. Lakshmi is responsible for developing strategies and administering operations in the U.S. and she is one among the three women managers in India’s automobile industry.
