Australia’s Department of Human Services has created a mobile app to make it easier for parents to access their child’s immunisation history, announced Minister for Human Services, Senator the Hon Marise Payne last week.

In the new school year, some parents will need to provide proof of immunisation for their child’s school enrolment.

According to Payne, the ‘Express Plus Medicare’ app allows parents to access their child’s Immunisation History Statement from any mobile devices and email a copy to the school or childcare provider.

The app provides several other services, including requesting a replacement Medicare card, updating contact details, viewing Medicare Benefit tax statement, finding the nearest Medicare service centre, and more.

Parents can download the app now from GooglePlay or Apple App Store.

The mobile app complements the wide range of other services that are currently available at Medicare Online Services on the myGov web site.

“Express Plus Medicare and myGov gives busy parents more options to access their records online quickly and easily,” Payne said. “You can access your information when it suits you, without needing to call or visit a Medicare office.”
