A new technologies fund, will be established in Kazakhstan, Managing Director and Member of the Board of the Kazakh National Holding Baiterek Kanysh Tuleushin said on Friday, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.

"We are now working on creation of the new technologies fund. The fund will focus on investment activities," Tuleushin said at Innovation Decade Forum.

In particular, this new fund and National Agency for Technological Development will invest in innovative projects and venture funds.

"The main part of its funds will be attracted from private capital," Tuleushin said.

The Fund will focus on financing of the major investment projects implemented by Kazakhstan's Nazarbayev University and the innovative technology park as well as technology centers around the world.
