The Ministry of Justice, as the supervisory authority, reports the improvement in the quality municipal management in Azerbaijan in 2013, in any case in the preparation of municipal acts.

The Ministry reports that for the 1st half of 2013 it reviewed about 30,000 municipal acts within the framework of the administrative supervision.

"At that, only 1,156 acts were repealed or amended at the suggestion of the Ministry, and the culprits were brought to administrative responsibility," the Justice Ministry informed.

The necessary materials only on 16 facts were transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office.

This is the first time when 1,718 municipalities operating in the country issued such a low number of acts not conforming to the law (3.85% of the total number of documents).
