An annual National Exhibition of Information Technologies ICTExpo 2011 opened on September 28, 2011 in Tashkent, Bukhara and Farghona as part of the week of information and communication technologies INFOCOM 2011 with official support of the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information. Chairman of the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber A. Jurabaev opened the exhibition.
The idea of holding exhibitions in three cities at the same time is dictated by the desire to show the increased regional level of information technology development. During the ICTExpo 2011, there will a video link that will allow visitors to get acquainted with the exhibits of both exhibitions.
The exhibition brings together leading IT-companies of Uzbekistan. More than 150 companies participating in the exhibition will show visitors the latest developments in information technology, and present a wide range of unique services and solutions. Representatives of Russia, Ukraine, China, Austria, Germany, Korea, Hungary, and other countries participated in the exhibition along with local companies. The exhibition program is broad and diverse, it includes a wide range of educational seminars, round tables, as well as entertainment events.
The exhibition will include: a round table on the development of internet service providers in Uzbekistan, ICT-STUDENTS e-sport challenge among teams of high schools, colleges and universities, as well as the final games of Uzbekistan Cyber 2011. ICTExpo 2011 will make a significant contribution to the economy of the country, give new impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in information and communication technologies and the establishment of solid business contacts.
The ICTExpo 2011 exhibition will run until September 30, 2011.
