The government has decided to present the programmes and policies of the government at the parliament on July 3 and the annual budget on July 14. The parliament secretariat published the schedule for the programmes and policies and the annual budget based on a letter from the Council of Ministers Sunday. President Ram Baran Yadav will present the government’s policies and programmes on July 3, lawmakers will discuss the programmes and policies on July 5 and 6, and Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal will answer questions raised by the lawmakers on July 7, according to the schedule. Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari will present the budget on July 14 based on the policies and programmes of the government. The Council of Ministers had written to the parliament secretariat about presenting the programmes and policies after consultation with the President’s office. Meanwhile, the ongoing pre-budget discussion at the parliament has been extended by one more day. Although, the legislature parliament had stipulated the pre-budget discussion only till July 27, it has been extended till July 28.
