Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari on Wednesday assured that the government will address problems plaguing financial institutions by holding discussions with bankers and stakeholders.
Speaking at an interaction programme with bankers, he said that the banks and financial institutions (BFIs) and the government should work hand-in-hand to end the problem ailing the financial sector.
The bankers have also urged the government to come up with policies to tackle problems of deteriorating liquidity crunch, merger of banks and financial institutions, capital market, investment in realty sector, foreign investment, among others.
On the occasion, Finance Secretary Krishna Hari Baskota said that the Ministry is always serious to avoid liquidity crunch in the financial sector that is generated by government expenditure.
Baskota also said that the Ministry will hold discussion with the bankers and financial stakeholders to solve the problems related to financial sector to come up with new policies in the upcoming new budget.
