Chairman of Constituent Assembly Subash Chandra Nembang Friday said that political parties would arrive at consensus in line with the earlier peace agreements.

Speaking at the inauguration of the 8th anniversary of Nepal Health Technicians Association in Pokhara, he said that the constitution writing and peace building processes would be concluded after forming the new government.

He said that the nation would get the new government within 7th February and urged the parties to reach to complete their national duties.

He said, "The leaders were serious to conclude the peace process and they were trying to find consensus. All political deadlocks will be resolved, if parties come together."

Meanwhile, according to our Biratnagar Correspondent, CA Chair Nembang said that the existing political deadlock had created an obstacle to draft the constitution.

Talking to the media persons at Biratnagar Airport, he said that if political parties failed to reach consensus, the ongoing peace and constitution drafting processes would not be concluded.

He said, "The constitution writing and new government formation processes will not be completed without political consensus, so parties will come with responsibility to conclude the deadlock."

Chairman Nembang said that the major political parties were successful to settle 150 disputed issues in the constitution drafting process and hoped that if all parties became serious, the constitution would be drafted in time by resolving the remaining 85 contentious topics.

He said that the parties succeeded to end the dispute pertaining to the national flag and citizenship.

Nembang admitted that due to lack of a strong parliamentary regulation, he could not take action against rule violating lawmakers.

He said political parties would form the national unity government to end the existing deadlock.

Meanwhile, according to our Dharan correspondent, CA Chairman Nembang said that the combatants coming under the Army Integration Special Committee created an environment to conclude the peace process.

He said that the nation would succeed to choose the new prime minister following the amendment to the parliamentary regulation.
