The United Nations report “World Economic Situation and Prospects 2011” says that in 2011-2012 Turkmenistan will attain one of the world-highest economic growth rates. As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat, the report was prepared by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN/DESA), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the five United Nations regional commissions. According to UN experts, the growth of the Turkmen economy in 2011 will amount to 10 percent, and it will keep the momentum in 2012.
