Today at a plenary session the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament has adopted the Law On ratification of the Loan Agreement (tax administration reforming project) between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Presenting the bill Minister of Finance Bolat Zhamishev said that the document aimed at reforming and strengthening tax administration in Kazakhstan in order to raise the level of voluntary compliance with tax legislation by the country's taxpayers; raising the efficiency of the measures on fighting with tax evasion; increasing efficiency of tax administration and reduction of corruption.
According to the Minister, the IBRD provides USD 17 mln loan to Kazakhstan for 15 years including five-year grace period. Co-financing from the national budget will make USD 39 mln 7 thousand.
