The eGovernment Authority has devoted more time to develop the Search Engine on the National Portal (Bahrain.bh), which was inaugurated by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology, last April during the official opening of Bahrain International eGovernment Forum.

CEO of the eGovernment Authority Mohammed Ali Al Qaed stated that in cooperation with concerned authorities, the eGovernment began updating and linking government database that are supported with an advanced search engine which is provided with mechanisms that allow users to obtain the required search results. The engine meets the needs of all the concerned authorities in dealing with government bodies such as nationals, expatriates, visitors and businessmen; as it benefits from a bundle of available services and a set of different options.

The strategy stresses on achieving excellence for next generation of eGovernment by maximizing efficiency, providing high-quality services, and encouraging active involvement of all users in cooperation with all partners, as well as strengthening a culture of innovation and essence of initiative.
