A Kenyan has been selected for a project to restore the experience of the world's first most widely used web browser. 

The Line Mode Browser(LMB) was the second browser ever, created after founder of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners-Lee and his team, hired Nicola Pellow to create a browser for more widely used operating systems. The first browser had been created by Tim and his team, but only worked on the NeXT type of computers that they used.

Martin Akolo Chiteri will join nine others from the globe in a project at The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The project aims at restoring the origins of the Internet, including the first websites and web addresses, and the software used then.

Current Internet users will be in a position to then feel how accessing the web through the LMB felt then.

Chiteri has experience in C, Python, Java, C#, server side languages (PHP), shell scripting in Bash & Korn scripting, and PL/SQL (Oracle) database programming. He's worked for the last five years at Indra system, a software consultancy system which supplies billing and other solutions to Kenya Power, among other clients.
