Engineer Stanley Kamau, Director of Public Private Partnership Unit at the Ministry of Finance recently paid a visit to Kenya Data Networks' Data Centre. The visit was on 9th July 2013, where Engineer Kamau said that the government would like to use the KDN data centre for storage.
"We are pleased to be considered by the government for such partnership and this only shows our potential as KDN," says Dan Kwach, KDN Data Centre Manager.
President Uhuru Kenyatta's government marked 100 days in power in mid July. The president and his Deputy President, William Ruto, were elected on the promise of a digital government. Already, most Cabinet Secretaries and ministries have opened social media accounts for communication with citizens.
Other plans by the government include provision of laptops to students joining primary school next year.
KDN recently announced that it had experienced vast improvement in its service offerings after purchase by Liquid Telecom.
