Angola: Cabinet Council Passes Inovja Electronics Angola Project

The Cabinet Council passed on Wednesday the Inovja Electronic Angola project, located in Luanda, meant to serve the Angolan market in electronic products and home appliances, worth about 33 million US dollars. Gathered at its third ordinary session, chaired by President José Eduardo dos Santos, the Cabinet Council also debated the Movicel project worth 300 million US dollars. The mentioned project aims at the modernization, expansion and exploration of mobile phone services and Internet data all over the country. The Cabinet Council also debated the Hotel Terminus Lobito project, worth USD 33 million, for hotels service supply in Restinga area, as well as the Soal - Alcohol and agriculture of Angola SA project, in Nzeto Municipality, northern Zaire Province, worth 283 million dollars. These projects will provide about 2.500 direct jobs, says the Cabinet Council's communique, adding that it also passed the organizational structure of the National Institute of Scholarships. In the domain of culture and arts, this organ analyzed the presidential decree that creates the national culture festival and approves the respective regulation, a diploma that foresees the holding of a multidisciplinary national festival. The Cabinet also passed the presidential decree that grants the status of public utility to the national association of Angola's disabled people. This organ analyzed and considered positive the balance of execution plan of the Angola presidency at the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), related to the period between August and December 2011.
