The Group’s objectives are:

·         To ensure members are kept briefed by the Commonwealth Secretariat on developments to strengthen the Commonwealth network

·         To keep members fully aware of the range of non-parliamentary activities and programmes carried out under the Commonwealth brand, both on Governmental and non-governmental levels

·         To take advantage of opportunities of the developing Commonwealth network for Britain’s political and commercial activities, and for Britain’s general positioning in the new international landscape
