The number will be announced by Executive Mayor Parks Tau and Premier Nomvula Mokonyane at the Grace Bible Church in Pimville on Thursday, 2 February.

The hotline is an integration of all the existing hotlines of the provincial departments, agencies and municipalities and aims to bring “effectiveness” in the delivery of services to residents, according to Mokonyane’s spokesperson, Xoli Mngambi.

Residents in all municipalities in the province will be able to forward complaints about and recommendations of public services directly to the Office of the Premier without going through red tape.

The hotline will also serve as a way for easier interaction between the public and the premier’s office and government departments, says Mngambi.
