Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Immigration Service and Nigerian Prisons Service have won the maiden edition of the weekly Political Web Awards, with their respective websites: www.nigeriannnavy.gov.ng, www.immigration.gov.ng and www.prisons.gov.ng.
The "BEST 3 WEBSITES" were selected from among the websites of the Nigerian military forces and para-military organizations: Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Customs Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigerian Prisons Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, and Economic & Financial Crimes Commission.
The winning websites were selected based on web content, traffic, user friendliness, local regulatory compliance and social media integration. The selection was done by a panel of professionals drawn mainly from web design companies.
The process started with a survey of the websites of Nigerian military and para-military, which was concluded on December 16, 2011.
