The Department of Science and Technology enjoys good relations with the Ministry of Science and Technology in Mozambique.
“The relationship is characterised by continuous exchanges between the two departments on matters of mutual interest,” the department said.
South Africa and Mozambique signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in July 2006. Since then, two joint committee meetings and one ministerial visit have taken place.
The parties have also established annual joint calls, hosted one joint workshop on climate change, and are actively collaborating on the Square Kilometre Array project.
