The facility caters for employees of the three mines - Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa - as well as the residents of the township.

Commenting on the achievement Orapa and Letlhakane mines (OLM) General Manager Dr Adrian Gale noted that by retaining the accreditation, the hospital assured its stakeholders that the services offered meet international quality standards.

”This is the reflection of the quality of the staff at the hospital, which matches international counterparts in the service delivery,” he said.

He said the accreditation also enables patients and all other stakeholders to make informed decisions about the competence and ethics of the hospital, thereby giving them confidence to entrust their health to it.

Gale said the Debswana owned and run hospital is seen as a customer focused hospital which has maximized COHSASA standards and elevated health care to another level. “We endeavour to maintain these high standards by continuously addressing any challenges that may hinder quality service delivery,” he said.
