The implementation of the MoU will enable exchange of staff and trainees as well as provision of specialist guidance and  the sharing of documentation and training material conducive to the development of the Tourism and Hospitality sector in both countries. It also provides for the organisation of Cultural and Human Resource Development activities and mutual assistance in the development of Educational Material and organisation of special courses.

In his speech for the occasion, the Chairman of the MITD stated that the MoU will provide a platform for the future setting up of a local student-run simulated hotel, a profit making institution that already exists in the Seychelles. Through the student run hotel, trainees will benefit from real work experience and immediate on-the-job applications.

According to Mr Joubert, the MoU will bring valuable experience to trainees and lecturers through staff interactions and exchange of trainees and experiences. The focus on theoretical knowledge, practical skill and industry experience is deemed to bring a change of mindset and attitudes to better improve quality of services. For his part, Mr Dubois highlighted the importance of partnership and networking for the capitalisation of resources in both countries
