Specialists in the audit and internal control sector of the European Union, its member countries and Brazilian agencies will be gathered in an international seminar between September 17th and 19th in Brasilia, at Universidade dos Correios, the postal service university. The purpose of the event is to swap information, procedures and experiences related to the subject.
The following topics will be discussed: Internal Government Control in the European Union and in Brazil; Financial Management and Internal Controls in Practice; The Role of the Internal Audit in the Public Sector; Financial Control in the Public Sector; Quality Evaluation and Improvement; Performance Audit in the Public Sector; The Role of the Internal Control Agency in Combating Corruption; Internal Government Control Reform: Lessons (not) Learned.
The Seminar is the result of a partnership between the Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU, the general comptroller’s office) and the EU-Brazil Sector Dialogues project, coordinated by the Public Management Secretariat of the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management, and by the European Union Delegation in Brazil. The initiative also has the support of the Brazilian Postal and Telegraph Company.
