The ruling Saenuri Party submitted bills on public enterprise reform and deregulation.
Rep. Lee Hyun-jae led the public enterprise reform bill, signed by 154 out of the 158 Saenuri lawmakers. Rep. Kim Gwang-lim led the deregulation bill, signed by 156 members.
The public enterprise reform bill calls for introducing rules for the liquidation of public firms and cutting debt by liquidating insolvent subsidiaries.
The deregulation bill calls for a regular and systematic inspection of regulations by a specialized agency.
The Saenuri Party had strived to move the bills as a party platform, but couldn't due to opposition by some members.
