The ruling Saenuri Party chief will meet a group of retired civil servants on Monday to ask for their cooperation in reforming the civil servants' pension system.
Chairman Kim Moo-sung is scheduled to meet with a dozen members of a national association of civil servants' pension recipients and the group's president, Kim Gi-ok, in parliament on Monday afternoon.
The ruling party leader will gather opinions from the retired public servants on the Saenuri Party's pension reform plan and ask for their understanding and cooperation in legislating a reform bill by the end of this year.
The chairman met with members of the Korean Government Employees' Union earlier this month and discussed the pension reform, but the meeting ended in half an hour with only the two sides confirming their differences.
