South Korea will work together with the global community to develop technologies for the next-generation mobile information and communication network and to set global standards, a senior government official said Monday.

Korean wireless services are mostly based on the 4G long-term evolution (LTE) network, but the government and technology firms have been investing in the next-generation network that will up the speed further.
