Having recently received THB 200 million (US$ 6.5 million) as the financial year budget, the Ministry of Labour (MOL), Thailand is looking forward to completing its ongoing project in establishing ‘National Data Centre for Labour’ by end of 2013.
This new data centre is being built for on-premise use to integrate information about labour from relevant agencies within the MOL and turn it into single set of data for MOL for mining and further optimisation in the future.
The MOL is also eyeing the deployment of a G-Cloud in later stages after data integration has been completed thoroughly.
It will also plan to collaborate with other ministries such as the Ministry of Public Health for labour health information and the Department of Provincial Administration under Ministry of Interior for the use of citizen ID information for better data optimisation.
