A Statistics Korea survey shows there is a significant gap between the health of seniors living in the city and those living in the country.
The survey showed senior citizens living in the city were healthier as they exercise more regularly. However, their countryside counterparts were more satisfied with their relationship with their family. They indicated they were more satisfied with their children than city families.
Around six-thousand senior couples got divorced last year alone, which is more than triple the amount seen in 2000.
Meanwhile, male senior citizens over the age of 65 are expected to live 17-point-two more years, while female senior citizens are projected to live 21-point-six more years.
