Union Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar today inaugurated the 'Technology Portal' of the Government of India, enabling better access to information on the wide range of technologies developed by the various R and D organisations in the country.
The Cabinet Secretary, who inaugurated the ''Consultative Meeting on Centre-State Technology Partnership'' here said ''the Portal will help to increase positive interaction between the agencies in the State and Union Governments and it will be an important step in closing the technology divide and is expected to promote better interaction the scientific community and the multitude of stakeholders.''
The Technology Portal is one of the mechanisms selected to improve the outreach of technology assets to various stakeholders and functionaries in the States of our country, he said.
