The Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Turkmenistan, which is traditionally held on the eve of Independence Day, opened in Ashgabat on October 17. According to the official press release, the exhibition is meant to "once again demonstrate the great progress achieved by the Turkmen people."
The best samples of products and goods labeled "Made in Turkmenistan", the achievements of public and private companies in areas such as energy and industry, oil, gas, petrochemicals, textiles and carpet making, finance, business, construction and construction materials, architecture, transportation, communications, agriculture, processing and food industry, health and medical industry, education and sports, trade and printing industry, nature conservation and landscaping are demonstrated on the two floors of the Exhibition Palace.
According to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who viewed the exhibits, "each visitor will see first hand what remarkable results have been achieved in economic and cultural fields and get evidence of how much progress can be achieved by the united people, who can even work a miracle."
