According to the department’s spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga, the regulations are part of government’s commitment to the implementation of the TRC recommendations as part of its mission to promote nation-building and reconciliation, and thereby contributing to the process of reconstruction and development of the country.
The regulations will cover victims, their relatives and dependents who have been found by the TRC.
