Mncwango further added that, "The Department of Labour must provide job seekers with clear information on how this employment drive scheme will benefit them. Job seekers will receive little benefit from an expensive scheme that simply lists them on a register with 32000 others. Job seekers need feed-back and information, as well as skills-training and opportunities. Job seekers need to be put in contact with companies. People in the rural areas do not have easy access to internet to obtain feedback and the Department of Labour must have its offices in rural areas."
"Therefore the IFP calls on the Department of Labour to rather speed up the implementation of programmes which are effective and will benefit South Africa's youth and which will make them employable in the labour market. In addition the Department of Labour must focus in implementing programmes, especially in the rural areas that are related to self-help and self-reliance, like agricultural projects, enabling people to assist themselves, instead of depending on government grants," added Mncwango.
