The delegation is also integrated by the Angolan ambassadors to Uganda, Ambrósio Lukoki, AU, Arcanjo do Nascimento, director for Africa and Middle East department, Joaquim do Espírito Santo and national coordinator for Great Lakes, Coimbra Baptista.
The summit that was preceded by a session of the first ladies will include on its agenda a special session on sexual violence based on gender.
The Heads of State and Government Summit will be going with the theme "United to Prevent, End Impunity and Provide Assistance to victims of sexual and gender-based violence".
During the meeting, the new executive secretary will be elected and Zambia will hand over the presidency to Uganda.
ICGLR is an inter-governmental organisation established in 2006 under the auspices of the United Nations and African Union. It groups Angola, Burundi, Central Africa Republic, DR Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia.
