Some media outlets argue that President Obama’s executive order on cybersecurity doesn’t clearly explain how data should be secured. Michael Keller of the Daily Beast wrote that the bill’s text left “open many privacy-related questions,” and an Automation World article claimed that the language was vague.
Security experts at this year’s RSA conference analyzed the bill’s language, and one explained why the public and private sectors aren’t always honest when they’re sharing data and network intelligence with each other. How effective can White House legislation be if the public and private sectors don’t trust each other?
