Consumer complaints registered by Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) fell by 4 percent in 2016, compared to the previous year, when complaints reached 3.9 million.
Improper billing was the biggest problem, representing 32.8 percent of the total, or 1.3 million complaints. Complaints about quality of services, operation and repairs accounted for 21.5 percent of the total (841,000 complaints).
The most complained about services were related to mobile telephony, which received 1.8 million complaints or 47 percent of the total. Next, about 24.1 percent (943,800 users) complained about fixed-line services; 14.9 percent (581,100 complaints) were about fixed broadband service while and 13.1 percent (511,100) were about pay-TV.
