The Dutch labour market counts a large number of unfilled vacancies for ICT jobs, both among service providers and businesses using ICT, according to a report for industry groups CA-ICT, CIO Platform Nederland, Digivaardig & Digiveilig, Nederland ICT and the ministry of economic affairs. The report by Dialogic, in cooperation with ECABO and IT Performance House, found that recent graduates in the ICT sector do not always have the correct skills needed by employers. The mismatch is due to their level of education, as well as their ICT skills. The education sector and labour market need to be more closely aligned in order to resolve this problem, according to Nederland ICT.
