French E-commerce Users Rise by 863,000 in a Year - Study |

Some 32.7 million people in France made an online purchase in the third quarter, or 863,000 more than in the year-earlier period, according to market researcher Mediametrie and national remote sales association Fevad. Consumers spent EUR 12.3 billion online in the latest third quarter, versus EUR 11 billion a year earlier. The average number of purchases rose to 5.7 from 5.1 per quarter. The top five e-commerce brands by unique visitors per month in the third quarter were Amazon (14 mln), Cdiscount (9.52 mln), Fnac (8.28 mln), eBay (8.18 mln) and Voyages-SNCF.com (7.08 mln). The top five m-commerce sites and apps were Amazon (2.76 mln visitors per month), Voyages-SNCF.com (1.88 mln), Cdiscount (1.05 mln), Fnac (896,000) and La Redoute (628,000).
