South Korea does not expect serious power shortage this summer, allowing it to remove nearly all restrictions on electricity use for cooling except at government and public offices, the government said Thursday. In a government policy coordination meeting, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said the country's peak demand for power during the summer season was estimated to reach 79 million kilowatts, slightly up from last year's 78.7 million kilowatts.
