The global economic crisis has had a profound impact on people’s well-being, reaching far beyond the loss of jobs and income, according to a new OECD report to be released on Tuesday 5 November 2013.
How’s Life? provides detailed international data and analysis on how the financial shocks of recent years have affected aspects of people’s lives that traditional economic indicators miss, such as life satisfaction, trust in institutions or health.
The How’s Life? report measures well-being in OECD countries and other major economies across a range of other issues including the extent of differences in life satisfaction between men and women and well-being in the workplace.
To obtain an advance copy of How’s Life?, embargoed until 10.00 a.m. CET (09.00 GMT) Tuesday 5 November, or to register for the press conference in Brussels, journalists are invited to contact Lorena Sanchez at the OECD (Lorena.sanchez@oecd.org; tel + 33 1 4524 7991). For further information, please contact the OECD’s Media Division (news.contact@oecd.org ; tel: +33 1 4524 9700).
