The government has injected about 3.3 trillion won (US$3.1 billion) over the past decade to cover deficits caused by large-scale infrastructure projects where the private sector participated, data showed Sunday.
According to the data provided by the finance ministry, the government spent 3.29 trillion won from 2001-2012 to compensate for shortfalls stemming from projects it pushed under the build-transfer-operate (BTO) and minimum revenue guarantee (MRG) schemes.
