The number of female civil servants at the central government is expected to surpass that of male officials in 2015, with more women to fill mid- to high-ranking positions, government data showed Thursday.
According to the data by the security and public administration ministry, female civil servants working for the central government and its affiliated agencies accounted for 48.1 percent of the total 622,342 officials as of the end of 2012, up 1.1 percentage points from a year earlier and 2 percentage points from 2008.
