Starting 15 March 2013, Dato Mohammad Zabidi Zainal will be assuming his new role as Director General of the Public Services Department after more than two years of serving as the Director General of the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU).
During his time at MAMPU, he was responsible for spearheading the implementation of various modernisation initiatives which aims to improve the quality, efficiency, effectiveness and integrity of government services.
“Mohamad Zabidi has the experience, competence and leadership skills to continue transformation efforts of the public service through efficient and innovative human resource management and development,” said Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa.
Mohamad Zabidi has been in the public service for more than 30 years. Within that span of time, he assumed several senior posts such as: Assistant Secretary of the Information Ministry, Selangor State Assistant Finance Officer, Deputy Secretary General of the Health Ministry and State Secretary of Perlis.
