As early as this year Kazakhstan and Belarus will be able to exchange not only documents but also goods through the use of electronic digital signatures. This step is especially relevant to the framework of the Customs Union, as the Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatisation of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Strukov considers. Digital signatures will simplify the process of customs procedures and give access to inter-state electronic trade. It is planned that Kazakhstan will commence electronic trading by 2014. The work in this direction will start as early as in the coming months.
