Survey results released by the nation’s top lobby group for conglomerates showed that South Koreans believe the next administration should focus on revitalizing the economy and stabilizing living costs.
According to a survey by Research and Research requested by the Federation of Korean Industries of 800 men and women across the nation with the exception of Jeju Island, 26-point-five percent said the next president should work on revitalizing the economy. Twenty-three-point-three percent said the president had to stabilize inflation while 22-point-seven percent said the biggest task for the next administration was job creation.
Forty-three-point-one percent of those surveyed said next year’s economic growth for South Korea would be similar to this year’s while 35-point-five percent believe it would be worse. Only 14-point-six percent said the economic situation would turn up next year compared to 2012.
The survey was conducted from Nov. 28 through Dec. 1, with 95 percent confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is plus minus three-point-four percentage points.
