Azerbaijan: Digital Data Base and 3D-Model of Plan for Centre of Baku Centre Completed

The State City Building and Architecture Committee of Azerbaijan has completed the development of a digital data base and the 3D-model of the plan for the centre of Baku, the committee said. Estimated project cost is 395,000 manat.

State Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Azerbaijan has now submitted it for approval to the head of the capital's executive power. This detailed plan of the capital covers the period up to 2030.

It covers an area of approximately 1500 hectares from the Amay shopping centre to National Flag Square on the horizontal and from Seaside Boulevard to Bakikhanov Street on the vertical.

In addition Baku State Design Institute which is the project's coordinator completed the work on the study of the area collecting preliminary data.

The plan covers 11 districts of Baku, Sumgait and the Absheron region and includes Khirdalan - a total area of 280,000 hectares.

In general, the State Design Institute Bakıdövlətlayihə has carried out the work worth 616.600 manat, Azerbaijani State Design Institute Azərmemarlayihə - 349.300 manat and Azerbaijani Construction and Architectural Research Institute - 408.800 manat during the first half of the year.
