Armenian Citizens Feel Improvement in State Services

The government monitored a number of organizations, rendering license services, Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan said.

According to him, as a result of the inspections, corruption have been eliminated in respective licensing agencies of the Ministry of Education and Science, Finances and Economy, Transportation and communication, Emergency Situations and Agriculture, what “makes us happy”. However, as the Prime Minister noted, there are some problems in the fields of health care, capital building, therefore their heads undertook adequate measures, namely, Minister of Capital Building dismissed respective officials, and presently the situation in the department is satisfactory.

Problems have also been revealed in the State Inspection for markets and consumers rights protection at the RA Ministry of Economy and State Fire Inspection at Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“It is necessary that Ministers take under their personal control these functions, so that to exclude corruption in this sectors as well,” Sargsyan said.

Despite corruption risks decreased to 1,4% from total monitoring results, citizens express discontent regarding to services and queues. “Here we face problem of extra territory, and the Justice Ministry alongside with administration, as well as State Real Estate Cadastre agencies, were ordered to discuss what territories may be used to avoid crowded queues,” the Prime Minister said.

At the same time Sargsyan stated that monitoring will be carried out in all 18 departments.

“It is obvious that government’s monitoring have positive effect, and I am sure that within 2-3 months results will be palpable, since ten thousand people use these services every month and feel changes as compared with previous years,” the Prime Minister said.
