VietNamNet Bridge – Combating corruption is the most important content at the meeting between candidates of the National Assembly elections and constituents.

In his meeting with constituents in District 1, HCM City, permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, Truong Tan Sang confirmed to perform any change to push up the fight against corruption and waste.

He compared corruption with a big warning and impressive image by saying: “Previously, there was only one worm in the soup, but there are many worms now. It is ashamed! We can’t accept that!”

In a meeting with constituents from the Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi, Hanoi Party Secretary Pham Quang Nghi also confirmed his determination to combat corruption.

Nghi said that it is important to ensure that a similar case like Vinashin, not happen at other State-owned groups. “The National Assembly – the country’s most powerful body, is interested in this issue and it is seeking solutions for this,” he said.

HCM City Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai, also told constituents: “If I’m elected to the National Assembly, I will drastically implement administrative reform and make public, all regulations and procedures to enable people to involve in supervision and complete the mechanism to combat corruption, wasted spending and red-tape effectively”.

In many other meetings between constituents and NA candidates, many voters showed their support and trusts in candidates’ determination to fight corruption.
