The new Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Serge Vohor has announced his new cabinet line-up, which includes a woman. Mr Vohor was elected to succeed Sato Kilman after a successful vote of no confidence motion during an extra-ordinary session of parliament on Easter Sunday. This is the Union of Moderates Party leader's fourth time as prime minister. Surprisingly, the mover of Sunday's motion, Vanua'aku Parti president Edward Natapei, has no ministerial portfolio. Mr Natapei who had been prime minister until last december when Mr Kilman moved a successful motion to remove him, says he wants the give the younger generation a go.

Challenge expected
An immediate challange is expected to Vanuatu's new Prime Minister, Serge Vohor. Mr Vohor took over on Sunday after a extraordinary session of Parliament in which the prime minister of just four months, Sato Kilman, lost a vote of no confidence. Reporter Alain Simeon says it was a close vote. "The government numbers are 27, 28, so that makes it very difficult for the prime minister of the day to manage the numbers," he said. Observers say Mr Vohor's premiership may be short lived with a challenge to his leadership expected after Easter.
