Three Pacific Islanders and three organisations have been honoured with 2010 Pacific Human Rights Awards.
They will share $US5,382 in recognition of their efforts in advancing women's rights and gender equality in the Pacific region.
Fijians Jacqui Koroi and Sainimili Tawake were recognised alongside Papua New Guinea's Lily Kolts Be'Soer.
Organisers also honoured the Tonga Women and Children's Crisis Centre, and gave special citation awards to Island Girl Power and Ayuda Foundation in Guam and the Fiji National Council for Disabled Persons.
The awards, organised by the Secretariat of the Pacific Community's Pacific Regional Rights Resource Team, were presented at a ceremony in Suva to mark International Human Rights Day.
