The Research and Technology Ministry initiated a move to revamp the bureaucracy in its office on Thursday.
The reform covers five aspects of the ministry’s administration, including structure and procedures.
“The bureaucratic reform is one of the most important things on our agenda. In the last two years, our financial reports have gotten unqualified opinions. Yet, we still need to improve our performance, provide excellent services to all parties, and build a system which is free from corruption, collusion and nepotism,” Research and Technology Minister Suharna Surapranata told reporters after the declaration of the initiative.
According to Suharna, he will monitor and conduct bimonthly evaluations on the performance of his deputies and their subordinates to ensure the reform targets are achieved.
